Right to Information

The Right to Information Act, 2005 has been enacted on 15th June 2005 for setting out the practical regime of Right to Information for the citizens of India to secure access to information under the control of Public Authorities in order to promote transparency and accountability in the working of every Public Authority. The Act came into effect from 12th October 2005.

NLCIL as a responsible corporate citizen and a Public Authority under the Ministry of Coal Government of India believes in practicing good Corporate Governance, attaining maximum level of transparency, accountability and equity in all facets of its operations and in all its interactions with all its stakeholders viz. shareholders, employees, customers, Government, bankers, society at large etc. and also believes in providing access to information under its control to the citizens of India under the provisions of the Right to Information Act, 2005.
